Secret Honey Aurora Skirt
Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today I would like to show you my Aurora skirt from 2014 from Secret Honey. I adore this skirt. This is one of the few Secret Honey pieces I wear to work. It is so casual and the colour matches my everyday wardrobe – which is black 😀
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Elsa Sketch Art Dress.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Aurora Skirt
First I want to show you the skirt in action. Here it is from the front:
This skirt is from Secret Honey’s 2014 Aurora collection and was available in black and white. I love the black version, because I wear black mostly on a day to day basis. This was actually gifted to me by my sweet friend Carmen for my 30st birthday. So it has a lot of good memories attached to it. Here it is from the side:
As you can see, the embroidered motives are only on the front of the skirt. On the back, we have only the rose tendrils. Here it is from the back:
Size and Cut
This skirt is really size friendly. It still fits me with currently a waist of 84 centimeters. The waist is fully elasticated. I’d say it fits a size XS to a small size L. There are a few skirts that have that elasticated waist in Secret Honey’s collections, a Frozen one also from 2014 for example.
The skirt is also a full circle skirt, which makes it fit easily over your hips as well.
The Embroidery
The star of this skirt is of course the beautiful embroidery on the front of the skirt. There are two different motives that are repeated around the hem. The first one shows Maleficent as a dragon:
On the other one, there’s the kissing scene of Aurora and the prince, the castle and the three fairy godmothers:
There are also rose tendrils around the hem and these are actually carried through to the back of the skirt. The edges of the skirt are also embroidered and scalloped.
And that is already it for today. I hope you enjoyed looking at all the details of the Aurora skirt together with me. Thanks a lot for reading, I hope you enjoyed. I wish you a good one!
Love,
Ella
