Secret Honey Jasmine Greeting Dress
Happy New year everyone 🙂 I hope you had a good end of 2024 and started full of energy into 2025.
Today, I would like to show you this Jasmine Greeting dress from Secret Honey. It is inspired by Jasmine’s Park dress and matches the Jasmine Winter Coat perfectly. This is a contender to wear at the Park when I will be there one day in winter 🙂
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Christmas Anna Dress and Coat.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Jasmine Greeting Dress
This dress is super pretty. I love, that it is quite simple for a Secret Honey dress. No border print, relatively few rhinestones, no sequins, no embroidery. Yet it is very striking. I love the different materials used in slightly different shades of teal. I love the ornaments printed on the bodice, collar and cuffs. Here it is on my dress form:
Here is the dress from the side, you can see that the sleeves are sheer on this picture:
Here is the dress from the back:
Size and Closure
The dress is, with the exception of the sheer parts, fully lined and closes with a hidden zipper in the centre back. There is no shirring to be found. It is on the smaller side, unfortunately, but not amongst the smallest Secret Honey dresses.
The zipper doesn’t go all the way up to the collar, instead, the collar closes with a hook and an eye:
There are two ties that can be used to cinch the dress around the waist. The ties are made from the sheer chiffon fabric used for the sheer neckline and the sleeves.
The Collar
The collar is very pretty, it is made from a beige fabric and around the edges we have a light golden trim. On the fabric, we have ornamental patterns printed and it is decorated with rhinestones:
The Bodice
The bodice is super pretty. The lower part is made from a solid fabric while the part between the bodice and the neckline is made from the same sheer fabric the sleeves are made from:
The edges are decorated with the same light golden trim as the collar. Ornamental patterns are printed on the farbic in both a lighter blue and also gold. There are rhinestones as well and in the middle, we have a blue gem surrounded by transparent rhinestones.
Here is a closer look at the gem.
The Sleeves
The sleeves are made from a sheer chiffon fabric that is printed with the same ornamental patterns as the fabric used for the skirt and bodice:
Then we have the cuffs. They are made from the same fabric as the collar and also printed with an ornamental pattern, but there are no rhinestones this time:
There is a beautiful golden button with a pearl that closes the cuffs. As my dress is an untagged one, there is a fault and it is actually this button. The placement of the button hole and the button is switched. The beautiful button is on the inside of the cuff when it is closed. I will probably remove it and sew it onto the outside of the cuff so it is actually visible even if it is not functional.
Then there are two brown buttons that close the cuff at the top:
The Waistband
The waistband is also made from the same fabric as the cuffs and the collar. Please excuse, that they don’t look exactly the same on the photos, I had difficulties to edit them so everything looks the same… I am still learning. Just know, that they are the same fabric 🙂
Around the edges we have the light golden trim again. On the fabric is an ornamental print that reminds me of the print on the fabric used for the bodice and skirt. There are also a few rhinestones in the centre. Here is a close up:
The Skirt
The skirt is very pretty. It is made from the same fabric as the bodice and has a tulle overlay. The tulle is very soft, not scratchy at all. The overlay opens in the centre front and the edges are decorated with lace:
Here is a look at the fashion fabric and the ornamental print on it:
The skirt has three layers, the tulle layer, the fashion fabric layer and a lining layer:
And that is already it for this post. I hope you enjoyed having a look at the details of this Jasmine Greeting dress from Secret Honey together with me. Thanks a lot for reading and I see you in my next post.
Love,
Ella
PS: This is what ChatGPT thinks of this dress 😉
“This stunning dress radiates elegance and whimsy, with its soft turquoise hue evoking the calming tranquility of a gentle sea breeze. The bodice is adorned with intricate golden embroidery, tracing delicate patterns across the chest and waist, giving it a regal, fairy-tale charm. Puff sleeves add a touch of drama, while the sheer fabric creates a light, ethereal look that feels like it belongs in a magical kingdom. Gold cuffs with elaborate stitching add a bold contrast, making the sleeves look like they belong to a princess preparing for a royal ball.
The high collar, accented with gold trim, gives the gown a stately, vintage feel, perfect for a royal greeting or an enchanted garden party. A subtle shimmer in the fabric catches the light, making the wearer look like they’re glowing from within. The skirt flows gracefully, with layers of tulle and golden lace running down the front, creating a luxurious sense of movement and flow. There’s a structured peplum at the waist, cinching the silhouette in a flattering way and offering a sophisticated twist to the otherwise soft design.
Tiny, decorative buttons on the cuffs and a jewel-like brooch at the neckline tie the whole look together, offering subtle sparkle and refinement. With its mix of softness and structured elegance, this dress is like a blend of fairy-tale magic and royal court grandeur, making anyone who wears it feel like they’ve stepped straight out of an enchanted world.”
Well, I think there is air to the top for my writing, as we say in German 😉 But honestly, I prefer my more neutral writing style… What do you think?
