Secret Honey Olaf Sweater
Hello everyone, I wish you happy Christmas, in case you celebrate. Today I would like to show you my Olaf Sweater from Secret Honey. It is from their first Frozen collection from 2014, also one of their first Disney collections. I really like, that they also did everyday pieces back then.
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Anna Adventure Coat.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell something from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
Now let’s start:
The Olaf Sweater
Voilà, the sweater in full glory. It is designed to sit on your waist and made from 100% polyester (sleeves) and 100% acryl (body). The sweater is beige and has egg-shell coloured sleeves.
The initial prize of this sweater was 7’400 yen (around 67 USD). They prized their initial Disney collections much more reasonably than their newer collections, the dresses cost around 11’000 yen. The dresses were a bit simpler in design though, but I still think they raised their prizes a bit too much.
I took some pictures of me wearing this sweater too, here is one for your reference. I paired it with my black velvet skirt:
The Beadwork
The sweater is beaded, there are beads and crystals all over, building icy swirls. Here is a detail shot up close:
The Embroidery
Blue ice stars are embroidered:
The Sleeves
I really like the sleeves. Transparent egg-shell white chiffon covered in 3-D embroidered snow flakes. They used a thicker fluffy yarn for those snow flakes to make them look 3 dimensional.
The Motive up Close
And here we have the whole motive up close, Olaf in front of icy swirls and a pair of ice skates that could be Anna’s, judging by their style?
I really like this sweater, it’s easy to incorporate into my everyday wardrobe. It looks great when combined with a black skirt and tights. But also over high-waisted jeans. Olaf is fluffy, by the way:
And that’s it for today’s post. Thanks a lot for reading, I hope you enjoyed and I wish you a good one!
Love,
Ella
