Secret Honey Elsa North Mountain Dress
Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today I would like to show you my Anna coronation coat from Secret Honey. Last post for this winter. Today I would like to show you this beautiful Elsa North Mountain dress from Secret Honey from their 2014 Frozen collection. I absolutely adore this dress, all the layers of the skirt, the velvet print, the chiffon sleeves with snowflakes, the buttons, the neckline – it is too pretty. Let’s have a look at it.
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Anna Coronation Coat.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Elsa North Mountain Dress
This dress was released with Secret Honey’s first Frozen collection in 2014. I really love the dresses from this collection, especially this one, it is so elegant and beautiful. Here I am wearing it ca. 2016:
Here is a look at it from the front:
I remember wearing this dress on New Year’s Eve of 2015. My sister braided my hair, which was very nice of her, I have absolutely no talent for hair styles. I loved the look so much. Unfortunately I have no pictures of that night… But here you go, the dress from the back:
Sizing and Closure
First thing first: This dress is one of the smaller Secret Honey dresses due to no room in the bust area. When I bought it, it didn’t fit me like the other dresses. I lost some weight and after that it did fit me but it was still a bit tight in the bust area. I unfortunately don’t know what my measurements back then were nor do I have official measurements for you, my apologies :(. But yes, it’s small. Not as small as some of the Rapunzel dresses though.
The dress closes with a zipper in the center back:
There are two small shirring panels on both sides of the back that allow the dress to adjust to your waist measurement:
The Bodice
I absolutely adore the bodice of this dress with the illusion neckline, the snowflake print, the rhinestones etc. Let’s have a closer look.
The Neckline
The neckline of this dress is very beautiful. The solid part of the dress has a sweat heart neckline and then there is a chiffon layer above it to create an illusion neckline. The center part of the neckline is beautifully decorated with crystals, rhinestones, beads and more:
The Snowflake Print
As you already saw on the picture above, the bodice fabric is printed with differently shaped snowflakes in different colours:
The Sleeves
The sleeves of this dress are made from chiffon. They too are printed with different variants of snowflakes. What really stands out to me is the beautiful crystal button they used to close the cuffs:
The Skirt
The skirt of this dress is sooooo pretty… It is printed over and over in velvet ice crystals, snowflakes and characters from the movie. I absolutely love a velvet print, it is so elegant. Let’s have a look at some of the details:
Ice Crystals
From the waistline, we have ice crystals in different lengths and shapes cascading down the skirt:
The Different Skirt Layers
This skirt has three different layers that give it a lot of volume, which I really like, no petticoat needed with this one. We have the transparent fashion layer with the print, then a tulle layer that gives the skirt some stability, and last but not least, we have the lining layer in a blueish grey colour with a ruffle around the hem:
The Character Print
Around the hem, we have a print with different characters from the movie. All of them are featured twice, which is cool. Elsa and Olaf have prints of their own, Anna and Kristoff have one print alone and one together. Here is the print from right to left, first up we have Elsa using her ice powers:
Then we have Anna, wandering through the snow:
Next up is the first print of Olaf, that is interestingly his lineart, not a silhouette like the other characters are:
In the center of the skirt we have Kristoff and Sven:
Then we have Elsa again in another pose but still using her powers:
Next up my favourite print, Anna and Kristoff together:
And then, last but not least, we have Olaf again:
And that is already it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed having a look at all the pretty details of this Elsa North Mountain dress together with me. I thank you for reading and wish you a good one.
Love,
Ella
