Secret Honey Anna Coronation Set – Skirt and Bodice
Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today I would like to show you my Anna coronation set from Secret Honey. This is post 1 of 2 covering the Anna coronation skirt and bodice. In my next post I am going to show you the Anna coronation coat. This set is a classic and the 3rd iteration of Anna’s coronation dress from Secret Honey. Bodice and skirt are separate, which is fantastic, because you can wear the skirt without the bodice for a more toned down look.
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Snow White Winter Coat.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Anna Coronation Set
First of all, the Anna Coronation set in its full glory for you. Here it is from the front:
It was released in September 2015 as the third iteration of the Anna coronation dress. Since a separate bodice and skirt are so versatile, I bought this version and sold my second version. Here it is from the side:
And here it is from the back:
Sizing and Closure
The bodice closes with a side zipper.
In the back there is a elasticated panel with a lace up detail to adjust the size to yours. I’d say this bodice fits a small size M with a normal bust.
The skirt closes with a zipper in the center back and a hook and an eye at the top. I have the short skirt, the skirt came in two different lengths, M (knee-long) and MT (over the knee-length). Since I am quite tall, I’d prefer to own the longer skirt since the M size one is a mini skirt on me. But for now this one will do, I will just wear it with tights to cover my legs and then it’s fine with me.
There is a shirring panel on each side of the back of the skirt to adjust the size to yours. This skirt fits up to 78 centimetres in the waist. But since the bodice is quite small, this set only fits up to a small size M.
The bodice and the skirt can be attached to each other by a little strap of fabric with two button holes and a button at the top side of the bodice. The strap is really short, however, it would only be possible for a petite person, for me the strap is far too short to attach bodice and skirt.
The Bodice
Let’s first have a look at the details of the bodice of this set.
The Embroidery
There is beautiful embroidery in the front of the bodice representing the embroidery on Anna’s dress. The embroidery in the back of Anna’s coronation dress is missing due to the shirring panel. Here’s the motive on the front:
The neckline and the waistline are bound with moss green bias binding.
The Sleeves
The sleeves of this dress are made from a forest green fabric that is pleated several times. On the outer edge they are decorated with beautiful green lace:
There is a detachable strap worked into the sleeve to wear it on your shoulders. If you want to wear the sleeves off the shoulders like Anna does, simply detach the straps (or leave them in and loosen them a bit):
The Skirt
The skirt has a beautiful over all print representing the embroidery on Anna’s original dress.
Then we have a beautiful border print around the hem of the skirt showing Anna, Elsa and Hans. There are three different motives that are repeated around the hem. Here are Anna and Hans:
And here we have Anna and Elsa:
Last but not least, we have Anna dancing all by herself:
And that is already it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed having a look at the details of this Anna coronation Set with me. I thank you for reading and wish you a good one!
Love,
Ella
