Secret Honey Anna Travel Cosplay – Frozen 2
Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today, I would like to show you this Anna Travel Cosplay from Secret Honey. I love this set. It is black and I wear black in my day to day, I feel very at home in this dress. The cape is super cute too, I like it a lot and have worn it as a normal cape already.
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Casual Elsa Travel Dress and Coat.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Anna Travel Cosplay
One thing ahead: It was really hard to photograph, the red, purple, orange and black looked different in every shot. I did my best with editing, but it can be, that the shades vary a bit from photo to photo eventhough I did my best… I really tried to get the shades as accurate as possible, editing with the pieces next to me to see the colour in real life. Disclaimer done.
Now let us start with the pictures, I do have over 40 for you showing you every detail I could find. Here is a photo of the whole costume on me:
The Anna Travel Dress
Let us discuss the dress first. I know, it is a bit tight 😉 Just ignore it, please 😉 Here I am wearing it:
Here you can see the dress from the side:
And last but not least, here is the dress from the back.
Sizing and Closure
The dress closes with a hidden zipper in the centre back. The bodice part of the dress is not lined, which is an advantage, because the outer fabric is stretchy and allows for a bigger bust. At the time of taking these photos of the dress, my measurements were the following:
- Bust: 100 cm
- Waist: 77 cm
- Hips: 106 cm
I’d say much more will definitely not fit, it is tight on me. But these measurements do fit, you may just need help from somebody else to close it.
The Bodice
I really love the bodice of this dress, it is so automny, the colours are perfect for fall, oranges, browns, black, it’s a dream. Here is a look at the bodice:
In the center front we have embroidered wheat. It is embroidered in two colours, an orange tone and a warm brown tone:
Then let’s have a look at the collar. The collar looks like an orange undershirt, but it is just an orange part of the dress. It is embroidered in two orange tones, there is a little brooch to go with it and there is also piping:
Here is a close-up of the brooch for you:
And here is a close up of the orange blouse part. You can see the textured embroidery as well as the piping and the linen like texture of the fabric.
The embroidery and the piping go around the collar to the back closure.
The Sleeves and Cuffs
The sleeves are so cool, I love them. They are decorated with a light brown strip of a leather like polyester that is also decorated with two strips of darker brown leather with knots:
Here is a close-up of one of the knots:
Then we have the cuffs, they are done in different brown and red tones and super pretty. They are also not too tight, normally, Secret Honey’s cuffs are too tight for me. I can close these and even put the dress on when they are closed.
They close with brown satin buttons and brown satin band loops:
The fabric of the cuffs overlaps a bit when you close them. It would be possible to move the buttons 1cm or so if you need more room.
The Skirt
The skirt is decorated with wheat embroidery too.
Here is a detail shot:
Then we have brown binding around the edges that is also embroidered:
There is a thigh-high slit on the left side of the dress that is also bound with brown fabric. The bodice of this dress is not lined, but the skirt is. There is a hem facing in a plum colour and a purple lining that is hanging loose:
To my satisfaction, there are herringbone stitches securing the floating lining to the hem facing at the edges. I love using herringbone stitches myself, I felt very validated to see it on a Secret Honey dress:
The Cape
Here are a few pictures of the whole outfit with the cape. I like these pictures a lot 🙂
Here you can see me posing from the side:
And last but not least from the back. Here you can see the pretty embroidery as well as the two pleats:
Closure
The cape has a really sturdy and thick black stand-up collar. It closes with a little chain in the front:
Here is a little close up of the chain:
The chain hangs from two buttons that have the same emblem on them as the brooch of the dress:
Here is a close-up of the chain, I think it symbolizes wheat:
Embroidery
On the back of the cape, we have wheat embroidery like on the dress:
And around the hem, three times on each panel, we have the emblem on the brooch and the buttons of the cape embroidered:
Here is a close-up of one of the emblems:
In between the seams we have a zigzag trim (it is black on one side which gives some dimension). The edges of the cape are decorated with a textured black fabric trim and embroidery:
Other Details
The arm openings are nice and big, which I like a lot, they are much bigger than the ones in Merida’s cape. Also the arm openings are decorated with the zigzag trim. And you can see the purple red lining beneath the opening:
Here is a close-up of the zigzag trim:
The cape is flat lined and has a hem facing. I feel validated again, I love doing hem facings for coats:
The Leggings
The dress comes with brown leather leggings. They are made from a stretchy leather like polyester fabric and the waist is elasticated:
Here is a look at the elasticated waist. They look quite small but are stretchy, which also makes them quite comfy. Although I prefer my leggings to be high-waisted not sitting on my hips but that’s just a personal preference.
On me, they are quite short. Here you can see that they are only 86 cm long which is 10 cm too short for me… But since Anna wears boots anyways, it doesn’t matter, does it?
The Belt
I have to say, I have no idea how this belt is supposed to work… I put it on somehow, but no idea if it is right or not 😛 It is made from a faux leather fabric:
Here you can see the texture of the fabric, it imitates leather quite well:
There is a slit in the side of the belt, but I have no idea still how this belt is supposed to go on.
Here is one last picture of me wearing the dress 🙂
An that is already it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed having a look at this Anna Travel Cosplay together with me. I made an effort to show you every detail 🙂 Thanks for reading and have a good one!
Love,
Ella
