Secret Honey Elsa Harvest Festival Cosplay

Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today, I would like to show you this Elsa Harvest Festival Cosplay from Secret Honey. It is absolutely stunning, especially from the back, you will see, I have around 40 photos for you.

I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Toy Story Set

If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.

The Elsa Harvest Festival Cosplay

Ok, hear me out. I wanted to iron this dress but people advised me not to because of all the stones on it that I could melt with the iron. I ordered a steamer but it didn’t arrive in time for this blogpost… Sooooooo… It is a bit wrinkly especially at the bottom of the skirt in the front ^^’ Please excuse that. I think you can still see the beauty of the dress though 🙂 So here we go, the dress from the front in all it’s glory:

Here is a picture of it on the side. You can see that the bodice is gaping at the neckline, I wasn’t able to wear it yet so I can’t tell you if it does the same when worn by a human being… But it is pretty nontheless:

And here is the dress from the back. In German we say “Ein schöner RĂĽcken kann auch entzĂĽcken” meaning something like “A beautiful back can also be enchanting”. I think that is the motto of this dress. The back is the highlight in my opinion! It is gorgeous:

Sizing and Closure

To start this post, let us talk about the size. This dress does not have a lot of shirring in the waist and the belt is also very small. My dressform has a waist of 68 cm and it just fits her. Also the sleeves are apparantly onli 20 centimetres in circumference although the material is a bit stretchy. Smaaaaall! Very small.

It closes with a side zipper:

The bodice part is made from an elastic fabric while the skirt is made from a solid one. The bodice is not lined but there is lining and even a tulle ruffle in the skirt. The tulle ruffle does not come in contact with your skin which I like a lot.

The Front of the Elsa Harvest Festival Dress

I decided to split this post a bit differently than I normally go over my dresses. We will first talk about the front of the dress and then afterwards about the star of the show, the back of the dress.

The Bodice

The bodice is, as I already mentioned, made from an elastic jersey like fabric. It is embroidered and decorated with trims, sequins and rhinestones. Here it is:

The ice crystal detail in the centre front is made from different coloured embroidery thread, rhinestones and pearls:

On this close up you can see that some of the embroidery thread is metallic. Also the purple pearls are much more visible:

And just because I wanted to treat you, here is another even closer close-up. You can see that the embroidery is done in different patterns, which is so much attention to detail from Secret Honey:

The neckline and edges of the bodice are decorated with a line of sequins, embroidery and purple trim:

The Sleeves and Shoulders

The sleeves and shoulders are absolutely breathtaking too! The sleeves are decorated with a line of sewn on rhinestones, the shoulders have an ice crystal detail embroidered, beaded and, well, rhinestoned. The cuffs are also decorated with embroidery and beading:

On this close up you can see the rhinestones running down the sleeves. They shimmer in all colours of the rainbow, which is so pretty:

And here from an angle a bit higher is the shoulder detail, done with embroidery, beading and some sequins and rhinestones:

And of course we can’t miss the details on the cuffs of the sleeves, also done with embroidery and beading. I am a bit disappointed in the seamlines… They are not as well hidden as on the rest of the dress, I think the cuffs could have been finished prettier.

The Belt

Another important piece of this dress is the beautiful belt, done in a plummy purple and decorated with embroidery, pearls and a big rhinestone.

Here is the belt on my floor. You can see the whole pattern as well as the eyes for the hook (that is actually not sewn on on my belt, I need to find something to hook the belt with. For the photos I used a pin to close it.)

In the centre we have an embroidered diamond shape, the embroidery is quite textured which I like. In the centre is a rhinestone:

On the sides we have ice crystals done in patterned embroidery and decorated with purple pearls.

On the back in the centre front is a little transparent button that can be buttoned to a little loop in the centre front of the dress so the belt stays in place:

The Skirt

Now let’s have a look at the skirt. The skirt has a beautiful gradient from a more lilac purple to a deep blueish purple on the sides. The middle in the skirt opening stays the same colour. The materials on the skirt side and back and the material in the skirt opening are different, the opening one has some sort of texture while the rest of the skirt is done in a smooth fabric:

On this shot you can see the texture of the fabric in the skirt opening very well. Also here is the beautiful embroidery around the hem in the skirt centre:

And a little close-up. You can see there are also sequins used at the bottom:

Now comes the wrinkly part of my dress… The skirt sides are very wrinkled, my apologies. but I think, you can still see how beautiful and detailed the embroidery is. Different colours of embroidery thread, some metallic, sequins and rhinestones.

Here is the embroidery a bit closer and less wrinkly:

And here, I don’t know why, a little detail shot of a rhinestone at the top of one of the ice crystals:

The Back of the Elsa Harvest Festival Dress

If you are now thinking that the front of this dress is absolutely stunning, wait for the back of it… It is so beautiful, there’s so much to look at. Let’s start.

Bodice and Upper Skirt

First of all, we have different ice crystal motives on the bodice and below on the skirt Here is a shot of the motives that grow from the waist up- and downwards:

Here is a closer look at the crystals growing from the waist downwards. It is done with beading, embroidery and there are rhinestones added to the crystals:

Here is a closer look at the beads and the textured embroidery:

This is the motive growing up from the waist. Much less detailed but not less beautiful. It is also done in different coloured thread, there are three rhinestones but no sequins this time:

And then there is a little motive embroidered beneath the neckline that I haven’t showed you yet. It is done with pearls, sequins and rhinestones too:

Absolutley stunning, right? Now on to the skirt:

The Skirt and Train

From the ice crystal motive we have a whole cascade of rhinestones down the skirt until embroidery motives supersede it.

Here is a close up at the rhinestones. The ones in the centre back of the skirt sit in embroidered diamonds. Looks as if they were embroidered after the seam was sewn 🙂

Here. is a close up at the biggest rhinestone shortly before the embroidery starts. It is done with two triangular big rhinestones that form a diamond shape together:

Then we have the embroidered ice crystals, similar to the ones in the front of the skirt. They are huuuuuge, here is a look at them from a bit of a distance.

A bit closer, you can see the rhinestones and sequins as well as the texture in the embroidery:

And very close 🙂

And that is it for the back of this dress. Now we have one thing that is still missing to complete Elsa’s Harvest Festival look:

The Necklaces

I have three different Elsa Harvest Festival necklaces, one from Secret Honey, one was a gift from a friend in Hong Kong and the last one is from @ycostumes on Instagram. Can you tell which one is which before scrolling down? 🙂

Secret Honey

This necklace came together with the dress and is from Secret Honey. The shade is some sort of sand blue with purpelish rhinestones. The necklace picks up the diamond beads that surround the rhinestones on the necklace in the movie:

Here is a closer look at the necklace:

Hong Kong

This one was a present from a friend in Hong Kong. I have no idea where she got it, but I have seen it on Google before. It is very sparkly and I like this version a lot. Many little rhinestones around the three signature rhinestones of Elsa’s necklace.

Here is a closer look at the pendant:

YCostumes

And last but not least, here is the necklace from @ycostumes on Instagram. It was a present from @tante_sparkles on Instagram. Here is the box, the box alone is amazing:

The necklace is a bit long for the box, so it is a bit curved now:

And here is the necklace in its full glory. It really picks up all the details of Elsa’s necklace in the movie, doesen’t it? So happy to have it:

And here is a closer look:

And that is already it for today’s post! Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed having a look at this Elsa Harvest Festival Cosplay together with me. I wish you a good one and happy fall and spooky month!

Love,
Ella
