Secret Honey Sleeping Beauty Pink Rose Dress

Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today I would like to show you my Sleeping Beauty Dress from Secret Honey. I adore the colour combination and the absolutely stunning print on this dress. I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Sleeping Beauty Dress

I have a special place in my heart for this dress. Reason one is, that the cut is so good for me. Reason two is that I absolutely hate pink, but this dress made me fall in love with dusty rose and grey as a combo. Let’s have an overall look onto the dress, first from the front:

The Bodice

The bodice of this dress has a lot of room for a bigger chest area, which I absolutely love, because I don’t have a very flat chest. It is slightly high waisted, but still looks as if it hits your natural waist, which I also love because it highlights the smallest point of my body. Well, almost. But it is better than an empire line 😀 The bodice is decorated with gray lace. Secret Honey rereleased this dress, but when they rereleased it, the lace for the rose version suddenly was pink o.O Which I don’t understand, the grey is such an amazing contrast, it fit so well, why change it! So if you have a chance of getting this dress, get yourself the 2014 version with the grey lace 🙂 Here is a detail shot of the lace, it is a flower tendril:

The top part of the bodice is rushed and decorated with shiny buttons, on the 2014 version also in grey:

And then we have the waistband, also decorated with the flower tendril lace. Note the beautiful pink and grey rose pattern on the fabric:

The Print

This dress of course has a print around the hem! It’s a thousand roses and shilouettes of Aurora, Maleficent/the Dragon and more, in grey and pink, it is wonderful, have a look:

On the first picture we have Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty. We also have the spinning wheel and some thorns. On the other side of the dress we have Sleeping Beauty again, this time sleeping in the tower. We also have the castle, the dragon and more thorns. And of course roses. So many beautiful roses.

I really love this dress a lot, it is one of the first ones I got and fell in love with. And I consider it one of my “Vintage” Secret Honey Dresses. The old dresses were so much roomier and the designs were so much more everyday. Just beautiful and a tiny bit special dresses. Anyways, this is all for today’s post.
