Secret Honey Giselle Cosplay
Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today, I would like to show you this Giselle Cosplay from Secret Honey. This is the curtains dress, I really love this one, the other dresses look plain to me. But this one is fabulous. It has embroidery 😉 I love embroidery
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Jasmine Sequin Dress.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Giselle Cosplay
This is the second version of the Giselle dress Secret Honey released and in my opinion superior. The dress is completely embroidered, the first version had the flowers printed on the fabric. Here is a look at the dress on my dress form from the front:
Here is the dress from the side:
And here is the dress from the back:
We also did a little photoshoot outside 😉 Here is me wearing the dress:
We have a beautiful little park outside our door in which we usually shoot my Disney dresses. There’s also little ponds:
Sizing and Closure
This dress is decently sized for a Secret Honey dress. Almost 100cm around the bust and over 80 around the underbust. The dress has a shirring panel in the back that is decoreted with a lace up detail:
The sleeves are also elasticated, which is nice:
It closes with a side zipper:
If you want a little bit more room in the bust area, you can take out the cups. There are little openings on both sides of the bust where you can take them out:
It doesen’t give you a lot more space, but at least a bit. I like to wear mine without the cups, also, because I find it to be more comfortable and I am very happy with the shape the dress gives.
The Bodice
Let’s have a closer look at the bodice of this dress. I absolutely adore the cut of this bodice, it is so flattering. I am very much in love with this dress:
The Flowers
The bodice is decorated with fabric flowers in the center front and on both sides. Here they are on the side of the dress:
The one in the center front is much bigger. But both consist of several fabric flowers that are sewn together and are decorated with pearls:
The Lace
The neckline is decorated with beautiful lace. Two layers of it actually, which is very cool. There is also a pleated satin trim beneath the lace:
Princess Seams
The bodice has princess seams, which I like very much:
The Sleeves
The sleeves are just little puff sleeves. They are elasticated on both sides which I like a lot, makes them very comfy. The neckline in the back is elasticated too:
The Bow
The front of the bodice is decorated with a giant bow. I didn’t iron it, forgive me… I have no steamer ^^’ And I don’t like ironing (it is also too hot to touch an iron ;)). So here it is, a bit crinkled, laying on the floor:
The bow is not detachable and you also can’t open it. Here it is on my dress form. It’s hanging a bit… Don’t know how to feel about it. But Giselle’s hangs a bit too, so I think I’m fine with it…
And here is the full length of the bow:
The Skirt
The skirt is not that spectacular, but I still want to show you a few details.
The Layers
The skirt has two layers in the center front and three layers with the flower layer on top. Here you can see all three layers, the fashion fabric, a pink chiffon and a pink cotton-like lining fabric.
The Front Opening
The Dress has a split down the center front. The edge of the teal fabric is decorated with pink trim and some lace:
The Embroidery
Now it is time to highlight the embroidery on the teal fabric a bit. Here on the first shot you can see the little pink flowers as well as the bigger beige ones (please don’t ask me, what kind of flowers these are, I have no idea…):
A bit more distance to look at the whole picture:
Here’s a close up at the orange and beige flowers:
Another close up:
The Hairpiece
There is a hairpice coming with this dress as well. I also didn’t iron it… Sorry 😀 Here it is:
Here is a closer look at the top of the hairpiece:
The stems are done with beads:
And here is the back with a little hairpin:
And that is already it 🙂 Here’s another photo of our shooting 🙂
I hope you enjoyed having a look at all the details of this Giselle Cosplay together with me. Thanks a lot for reading and I wish you a good one!
Love,
Ella
