Secret Honey Jasmine Damask Dress
Hello everyone, welcome back to another post. Today, I would like to show you this Jasmine Damask dress from Secret Honey. I love all the Jasmine dresses so much, this one is no different! The colour is so beautiful. Here you can find all the Jasmine pieces, I have already written about.
I showcase one of my Disney pieces every two weeks, you can check out my other posts if you like. Last time I showed you my Secret Honey Rapunzel Maxidress.
If you would like to know more about the brand and about how you can get these dresses, I have got you covered in this post. I also sometimes sell dresses from my collection, check out my shop or my Instagram, I usually list them there.
The Jasmine Damask Dress
I absolutely love this dress. It’s another off the shoulder dress though, so please excuse the sleeves looking a bit sad in the photos, my dress form has no arms 🙂 Here is the dress from the front:

Â
I usually don’t really enjoy empire waist dresses but with the Jasmine dresses, I make an exception. They all look very nice. I rather have the waist really high than somewhere in between my chest and natural waist. That looks awful, because it doesen’t highlight my smallest point but instead a bigger circumference. Here is the dress from the side:

Â
And here it is from the back. The tulle overlay creates a high-low hem which I like a lot:

Sizing and Closure
There is no sizing chart that I could point you to and I cannot wear the dress at the moment, because it’s too small. Soooo… I’d say it fits up to a small size M, just to be conservative. There is room for the bust and the back has shirring, but I’m just not sure since I didn’t have the opportunity to wear it yet. I will update this part once I have worn the dress 🙂 As I already said, shirring in the back:

Â
The straps are adjustable but not detachable:

The Bodice
Now let’s have a look at the details of this wonderful dress, starting with the bodice. Here is a look at the whole bodice:

The Print
The bodice has a beautiful ornamental print in the center front in white and a lighter green-blue than the shade of the dress:

The Gemstone
Then we have a gemstone decorating the centre of the neckline. It is see-through and surrounded by small beads:

The Sleeves
The sleeves are meant to be worn off the shoulders, if you don’t they look funny. They are made from a double layer of the chiffon overlay fabric and pleated.

The Waistband
The waistband of any Jasmine dress is an eye-catcher, this one is no exception. It is a woven waistband that looks like embroidered linen and it is decorated with glass stones (well, they’re plastic, but they look like glass) and little plastic beads.

Â
In the centre we have four gemstones in light blue and pink as well as beads hanging down from the waistband:

The Skirt
The skirt is very pretty. It’s three layers of fabric, a tulle overlay, the fashion fabric (chiffon?) and a lining layer that feels like cotton. But they are all three polyester fabrics. Let’s have a look at the details:
The Embroidery
The tulle layer is embroidered with golden thread. It is always a riddle to me, how they embroider tulle… I would never try that… But they do and I love it. In the back, we have some sort of plant or something. I see this symbol a lot, but to be honest, I’m not expert enough to know what it is ^^’ The symbol of Agrabah maybe?
The tulle layer is finished with some lace that you can also see pretty clearly on this picture.

Â
In the front, we have the same motives embroidered on both sides. Some ornaments, a cloud and the lamp:

The Fabric Print
We not only have a border print on this dress, we also have a pretty print on the fabric, some ornaments and some flowers:

Â
Here is a close up of one of the flowers:

Â
As you can see, there are scratches on the fabric, i bought the dress quite cheap. I will probably never sell it because of that. But I like it a lot as well, so I can live with that.
The Border Print
The Border Print is really pretty to look at as a whole since all the motives are connected:

Â
Let’s have a look at all the motives in detail from left to right. First up we have Jasmine and the lamp:

Â
Then we have Genie:

Â
In the middle we have Aladdin and Jasmine flying on the magic carpet:

Â
Then we have the magic carpet again together with Abu:

Â
And last but not least we have a print showing Jasmine again:

Â
And that is already it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed having a look at this Jasmine Damask dress with me and love the details as much as I do. Thanks a lot for reading and I see you in my next post.
Love,
Ella

The embroidery is so gorgeous!
I love it too, embroidery always elevates a dress in my opinion 🙂
