Wearing Secret Honey Disney Outfits for 10 Days Straight – Here is What Happened
Hello you guys, welcome to a new post in which I will talk about my little Disney experiment, wearing Secret Honey for 10 days straight. I thought about this for a long time but I didn’t have the courage back when everything still fit me, then I was too big to fit my stuff and well, last month happened and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to me.
When and Where Did I Wear Secret Honey
I have been wearing Disney outfits from June 21st to June 30st 2024. I had two days of holidays and also worked from home on two days. So I only wore Secret Honey to work once. Not, that I would feel embarassed or something, but we have some rules since we have customers in the office that could see us and we need to keep up some level of professionalism. So the timing was perfect for this experiment. Also, I am still weighing too much for most of my outfits so the choices were a bit limited 😉 Now, let’s dive into my outfits.
Day 1 – Rapunzel Lantern Maxidress
I have downloaded my Instagram stories for most of my Outfits since I didn’t save all the pictures. So here is day 1 of wearing Secret Honey for 10 days straight: My Rapunzel Lantern Maxidress. I linked you the blogpost that I wrote about this dress in case you are interested 🙂 Here is the full outfit:
I was wearing the dress with a cardigan throughout the day. In the evening, we went out to eat pizza in our favourite pizzeria “Ambiente”. It was raining before, so the air was quite cool and I needed something to wear with the dress but didn’t want to keep the cardigan on. I decided to wear my favourite blazer. Together with the dress I was wearing my Aurora bag, also from Secret Honey.
I felt great in this outfit. It was super comfy, since the dress has a fully elasticated bodice, the blazer is oversized and well the bag is “comfy” too. This dress is perfect, if you want to wear Disney but not have people recognise that you are wearing a specific princess’ dress. So no one stared and no one talked to me about my dress. Quite a quiet start.
Day 2 – Rapunzel Sweater and Skirt
Day 2 was a Saturday. It was a sunny day, around 20 degrees celsius, so I was looking for something a little bit warmer but not too warm. I decided to wear my Rapunzel skirt from the Rapunzel Winter Set as well as my new Rapunzel sweater, both pieces are from Secret Honey.
I was also wearing this absolutels amazing Rapunzel tote bag that I got as a present from the lovely ooky.kooky on Instagram. It says “Let your hair down” :). I felt really cute in this outfit and I did really not care, that this one was really “out there”.
On this Saturday, went to a friend for a 90s themed party (I know, totally the wrong princess, but I don’t care, the right ones didn’t fit ;)). On the way to the party, a lady stopped me and told me how much she loved my outfit an that I looked amazing in it. Her daughter also really loved the Rapunzel skirt and smiled at me. That was a nice experience 🙂
The outfit was also very comfy to wear, the skirt is one of the bigger ones and the sweater is decently sized too. I was not hot, but also not cold.
Day 3 – Olaf Sweater and Frozen Tulle Skirt
Day 3 was really cold in Switzerland, around 15 degrees celsius, brrrr. Sooooo, I dug out my Olaf hoodie that I bought in 2014 in Japan Disney Store along with my Secret Honey Frozen tulle skirt, from 2014 too.
We didn’t do much on this Sunday, we only went out to a little store that was open on Sundays to buy something to eat. Despite the hoodie looking cozy and warm, it really isn’t. The fabric isn’t soft and fluffy on the inside like the fabric of other hoodies or sweaters. The only warm part is that hood with the fur and lining. So I was a bit cold. But… People loved it. No one came up to me to speak to me but they were looking at me and smiling 🙂
Day 4 – Cinderella Tulle Skirt
Day 4 was my first work day in a Disney piece. Buuuut, it was a soft start, I was working from home that day. Since I had a few video meetings, I went for my Cinderella skirt and a normal t-shirt and cardigan so I would look professional in the meetings 🙂 Here is my outfit:
At that point I decided that it was a good idea to keep going and finally do this experiment. My first goal was doing 7 days.
I really loved this outfit. It’s another one where you have to look twice to realise it is a Disney themed outfit. And that skirt is sooooo comfy and I love the tulle fabric it is super soft. The only thing I don’t like about this skirt is that it is not that wide, seems to be only a half circle skirt, not a full one like many other Secret Honey tulle skirts. But it is pretty. No one seemed to care, when I went out to do my groceries and I felt pretty and cute while wearing it.
Day 5 – Monsters, Inc. Skirt
Day five was the only day of my 10 days that I spent at the office. I chose my Disney piece with care and decided to wear my Monsters, Inc. skirt together with a normal t-shirt. The skirt is long enough to fulfill our directions, there is no visible border print and the overall print on the skirt looks normal from a distance. Only if you know the movie and the logo of Monsters, Inc. you would know it’s a Disney skirt.

Many of my colleagues told me that they really liked my skirt that day. One of them actually recognised the logo. I showed her the secret door with Randall behind as a surprise. She totally loved it.
Other than that, people didn’t seem to think much about my skirt, no one talked to me while commuting. I was also very comfy, the skirt is one of the bigger skirts and fits really well.
Day 6 – Tiana Dress
On day 6, the weather finally warmed up. I decided to wear my Tiana Dress, I absolutely adore this dress, it is so pretty. I worked from home this day and I had no meetings so I felt comfortable to wear a Disney dress.

This dress is very comfy, the waist is elasticated an there is enough room for a bigger bust. I was hot though… It is a polyester dress. I tend not to wear my Secret Honey dresses in really warm weather normally, because I sweat a lot in polyester and don’t want them to smell or anything. Buuuut, I was on a mission, so I wore this dress on that day eventhough it was very warm (around 28 degrees celsius).
I didn’t go out that day, so I have no reactions for you. Only my own, which was pure happiness.
Day 7 – Rapunzel Lantern Skirt
Day 7 was day 1 of my short holiday. It was hot, so I decided to wear a cotton shirt together with my Rapunzel lantern skirt. This skirt is veeeery short on me. I don’t mind short skirts, it’s just something to be aware of when sitting or kneeling down, so I tend to wear them not that often. But in the heat of this day, it was great.

I was sewing that day and staying mostly inside. I was not as hot as in the Tiana dress. In the evening, my boyfriend and I went out to eat Cordon Bleu at one of our favourite restaurants. We got the last free table, we were so lucky. No one was looking or speaking to me about my Disney outfit. It is not that noticeable, the print is quite inconspicuous.
The skirt is very comfy, it is also one of the bigger ones. I really like wearing it, it is so pretty. Short, but pretty.
Day 8 – Rapunzel Lantern Dress
After completing my 7 days of Disney, I decided to do 10 because I didn’t have to go to the office and it was possible for me to wear Secret Honey a few more days. Yes, this print again. All pieces fit me and are comfy, so I have been wearing them. This was another holiday and another hot day. I only went out to get groceries, the rest of the day I spent inside sewing. Here is the Rapunzel Lantern dress:
I like to wear this dress off the shoulders so it reaches my natural waist. It is completely elasticated and soooo comfy. I got a few stares in the supermarket with this dress, but nothing special. And since it was so comfy and pretty, I felt really good. But, I was hot in this one as well.
Day 9 – Aurora Dress
Day 9 was Saturday and the weather was cooler again, but not cool enough for tights. I decided to wear my new Aurora dress. It is shooooooort. So short. I don’t know, if I will ever wear this outside of my apartment without another skirt underneath. Here it is:
I got a new blazer second hand for 9 CHF and wanted to wear it too, so I wore it that day as well. I was a bit hot. But I really liked the outfit. I didn’t go out that day, to be honest, I would have put on something different to go out because this dress is so short (it’s even shorter than the Rapunzel skirt…). But I liked it, it’s a pretty dress from Secret Honey’s 2014 Aurora collection.
Day 10 – Frozen Fever Anna Dress
The last day and it was cooler again. I decided to go with a super comfy dress, my Frozen Fever Anna maxidress from 2017. I think, I haven’t showed you that dress anywhere before. And I’m very sorry, you will only get the skirt part in this post… I will show it to you in summer next year in a blogpost 🙂 Here is the outfit:
It was Sunday and we stayed in because the weather was meh. We only went out to get something to eat in the afternoon. No one seemed to recognise my dress, no stares nothing.
I was really comfy, the dress is stretchy and soft, the shirt is a linnen shirt and kept me warm and cool at the same time. Also, I love maxidresses a lot.
Conclusion – Wearing Secret Honey for 10 Days
I really liked this experiment. Wearing Disney every day made me very happy. Here are a few things that I noticed in these 10 days:
- I knew this already but got confirmation in this experiment: Secret Honey dresses are no good for hot temperatures, polyester makes you sweat a lot, you will be very hot. Skirts are much better because the only place where they are figure hugging is the waist. So you will sweat there but be comfy everywhere else 🙂
- I don’t care about people looking or staring at me: I didn’t mind people looking at me for what I was wearing. I felt quite confident in all my outfits. Also, no one that I noticed was judging me, they all seemed to be interested or it made them happy
- I only had one mother and child really coming up to me and talk about my outfit. They recognised Rapunzel and loved it and it was such a nice encounter.
- I had more choices than I thought, I seem to have lost enough weight for a part of my wardrobe which makes me happy. Now on tho fit into the rest of my dresse 🙂
- Last and most important: It brought me sooooo much joy to wear something Disney related every day. It was fun choosing the outfit, going through my memories with the pieces and create new ones. I really loved it.
And that is it 🙂 I hope you liked this post. I thank you a lot for reading and I will see you in my next post.
Love,
Ella
